These flowers, a lovely shade of salmon pink, were taken during a home and garden show during the winter. It’s always a pick-me-up to see spring colors, even if only part of an indoor display.

What appears to be a Gulf Fritillary Butterfly frolics among the lantana in Hawaii at The Umauma Falls. While I’m no entomologist, I identified the butterfly by the three dot pattern. At first I thought it was a monarch, but how would a monarch butterfly get to Hawaii?

There is nothing really special about this picture. Sure, it’s a picture of the butt of an elephant. Okay, not a real elephant, it’s a decorative elephant. At times, though, my twelve year old brain takes over and says, “A picture of a butt might be funny.”

I found the black bug on the white petals a nice touch, so I converted the image to black and white.
