Hungry Hippo
At the Brookfield Zoo outside of Chicago they have an area called the Pachyderm House, where, if lucky, you can see a hippo. On this day I was hoping for a more active hippo picture, but, and a hungry hippo is wont to do, it was time to eat.

Catching Signals
There are times various body things get in the way, like maybe your hair getting in your eyes. Poor you! The antennae on this bug-looking creature might be necessary for catching signals, but they sure look like a bitch to carry around.

It’s Good to Blend In
Sometimes it is good to stand out in a crowd, but other times it’s good to blend in. On the Big Island of Hawaii, the black crabs look scary against the white sand, but on the lava rock, not so much.

Summer Smile
A summer smile can brighten anyone’s day. It’s always a joy to see our dog happy. Sure, the sun might be a little bright, but he is enjoying the summer and the daisies!

Standing Tall
There is a chairlift on the Island of Capri in Anacapri, Italy that takes you to Mount Solaro. If you ever find yourself on the Island, I highly recommend the ride for some beautiful views of the Island and sea. Among the views is a tree, standing tall among the greenery on the hillside.

A bee has a job to do, and lucky for the bees they get to see some of the most beautiful flowers doing their jobs. I wonder if they appreciate the beauty of the flowers, like this salvia from Ball Horticultural.
