Over the years I have grown to like interesting presentations of food. The Alinea Group likes interesting. These “hands” were part of the El Bulli menu recreated as only Next Restaurant could accomplish. The dessert, in the bowls below the hands, was yummy. Nature can look beautiful. Nature can look weird. In the case of this picture, nature can look creepy. A trip to Florida had me staying at a kind of fancy hotel. The hotel has a garden with trees and flowers and stuff. Walking around I saw this plant, and I believe the plant was beautiful.…

I don’t remember where I first discovered the wonderful fragrance of the lantana plant, but once discovered it was a flower I always enjoyed. The fun part of lantana is that flying things also love lantana, including butterflies, hummingbirds, and in the case of this picture, a simple bee.

Ahh, the old radio festival. Q101 was an alternative powerhouse in Chicago. For years the would put on their Jamboree festival, a day and multiple stages of some of the best acts. Looking through the prairie plants, the rising sun brings a new day.

When the Morton Arboretum had their Origami in the Garden exhibit a few years back, many of the pieces of are were larger than life. While this metal mouse was larger than your normal mouse, it was one of the smaller pieces, but just as intricate.

On the side of the road in Hawaii, an enterprising gentleman was selling DVD’s. He was kind of like a mobile version of Blockbuster. I believe, however, that he needed better signage.

The sun setting over the local soccer fields frames the clouds nicely around the trees.
