I am lucky enough to live near The Morton Arboretum. Through the years they have unique artwork spread throughout the park. For the past couple of years they have the works of Daniel Popper, for their Human+Nature exhibit. This is a picture of Heartwood, through which a towering tree can be seen through the split.

At times Milo likes his picture taken, but this time it appears he doesn’t want to be bothered.

Take a walk down this path at the right time of year, and you might just find the sun!

On a forest trail it looked like I was coming upon a bunch of pebbles on the trail. A closer look revealed a bed of tiny mushrooms.

A male, mallard duck decides it’s time to get out of the water and head to another destination. Is it time for you to find something new?

Early in the morning, the sun gets ready to rise over the trees at Morton Arboretum.

The bird soars high, just not high enough for this to be called “Cloud. Bird.”

I wonder if the creator of this sculpture realized the pigeons would enjoy it as much as humans.

Ice can grow, but it can’t always stop the flow of electricity.
